Last Friday, on the 4th of August 2023, Franz Josef Pschierer, the member of the Bavarian state parliament visited TAKTOMAT in Pöttmes.

During his visit, an informative conversation about the current political situation in Germany took place. Other discussed topics were the energy transition, the prevailing shortage of skilled workers and the importance of training apprentices.

The 67-year-old politician from Mindelheim has been the spokesman for technology and innovation of the FDP parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament since September 2022 and has shown great interest in the conversation with TAKTOMAT Managing Director Norbert Hofstetter and his son Christian. Pschierer assured his support to the innovative company from Pöttmes.

Furthermore, he was informed about the current state of the construction of a new production hall, which is being build at the company's own 22,000 square meter site and is scheduled for completion in spring 2024. In this context, Norbert and Christian Hofstetter emphasized the intended sustainability of this investment: "We not only want to secure the Pöttmes site and the jobs of our employees in the long term, but we also want to strengthen regional companies by awarding them various construction work that needs to be done."

And indeed, with a single exception, only relevant companies from the immediate region were commissioned. The company is paying a great deal of attention to their envisaged energy concept, which at 4.5 million euros accounts for around one third of the calculated investment costs.
